About

I am an everyday woman, learning how to move through this life with Jesus and the people I love beside me. Some mornings I wake up in a quiet kind of awe, full of simple gratitude for breath, for light on the floor, for the small gifts that arrive without any fanfare at all. Other days are not gentle. There are stretches of deep exhaustion, heavy hearts, and emotions that fall lower than I know how to name. On those days, even ordinary tasks can feel like mountains, and hope can seem far away. Everyday New is where I try to tell the truth about both—the wonder and the weariness. I am slowly learning that defeats pass, even when they feel permanent, and that one small accomplishment is still enough for today. Some seasons are only survived by holding on for just one more day, and then another, until light finds its way back in. These poems are my way of reaching for that light, and of remembering that better days do return, even if they come quietly. If you find yourself here on a hard morning or a grateful one, I hope you feel a little less alone, and a little more able to keep going, just one day at a time.
